An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity. A pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.

An optimist takes advantage of every single opportunity, always sees the good side of the coin, whereas a pessimist sees only the bad side of the same coin. There is always an imaginary obstacle before, in which they stumble and fall. It then gets hard to stand up again.
