If one sheep leaps over the ditch, all the rest will follow

It is in the nature of seep to follow each other, yet there must be one sheep braver that the rest, one that has to set an example before they will take the risk. We find in Scott’s Old Mortality: ‘One sheep will leap the ditch when another goes first.’

Does not the same apply to us human begins?

Of course there is the other side to it: the leading seep may be a ‘reluctant hero’ pushed from behind.
