Better safe than sorry

It is preferable to be cautious in your choices and actions than to suffer afterwards. The proverb teaches prudence and planning, and should not be read as a discouragement to take risks in life, for fortune favours the bold.

Better safe than sorry, so I always leave early when I go to the airport.
